Crazy for Cranberries

Tis the season of pumkin pies and Cranberry sauce. If you are like me and don't like the traditional Cranberry relish or pumpkin pie, try this YUMMY alternative.

Orange-Cranberry Spice Cookies

1 17.5 ounce sugar cookie mix, or your favorite sugar cookie recipe
1 stick butter melted
1 egg
1 tbsp orange zest
¼ cup dried cranberries, chopped
2 tsp Wildtree Cranberry Spice Blend
¼ cup fresh orange juice, from the orange you zested
1 cup white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375°. Zest the orange first and set aside. In a bowl combine the dried cranberries and the Cranberry Spice Blend. Pour orange juice over both and stir to combine. Allow to sit about 5 minutes, until cranberries soften a little. In a mixing bowl stir together the cookie mix, butter and egg and the orange zest. Add the rehydrated cranberry mixture. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Back for about 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool. In a microwave melt the white chocolate chips, stirring constantly, about every 10 seconds or so. Drizzle melted white chocolate over cooled cookies. Store in an airtight container.

ENJOY!

Mom Made Gifts

or even Mom owned businesses....

I "borrowed" this post from my friend Tori, editor and chief over at Thoughtfully Simple. Go check out her website, it's a must!

Yes, the economy is rough, really rough. Yes, we are all trying to save our family some money by cutting expenses…. and yes the holidays are right around the corner. Well, let’s face it they are here. The truth is life still goes on even in this economic scare. The holidays are still here, people still have birthdays– we must still purchase things.

This holiday season I have found a way we an all help each other out. Rather than shopping at big box stores and through catalogs, let’s help each other. Truth is, many of us are mom-owned businesses who are also struggling to sell our goods in this tough time.
Moms who must shop…… meet Moms who must sell.

I mean, if we are going to be spending our families hard earned money, it might as well go directly to one who needs it right?

Please, grab this button and post it wherever you fancy. Let’s spread the word and help each other out. Mom’s are good at this, we can make this holiday season Simple and Fabulous!
Thanks Tori!
